Fire Pits

OUTDOOR FIRE PITS
FOR RALEIGH, NC & THE SURROUNDING AREAS

Just like fireplaces, patio fire pits are becoming increasingly popular. They can be a great focal point for your backyard, a place where you and your friends can lounge around and relax. Fire pits are great both for people who love to entertain and are social and for those who just like to sit by the fire with family and a few friends. If you enjoy throwing dinner parties or having cookouts, a fire pit is a great addition to your landscape.

Over the years, Setting Sun Patios & Decks have completed several projects that included constructing outdoor fire pits for homeowners throughout Raleigh, North Raleigh, Apex, Cary, Clayton, Durham, Wake Forest, NC, and the surrounding areas. Fire pits prove to be more convenient and economical than fireplaces in some cases. It mostly depends on the design and personal preference.

Our clients enjoy the benefits and the charm of a great fire pit. Not only are fire pits generally easy to install and great looking, but they also fit in well with small backyards and patios. If you are interested in an outdoor fire pit installation, we welcome you to contact us today!

DIVERSE FIRE PITS

Fire pits can fit into any design concept easily. Unlike fireplaces, they don’t generally dominate your outdoors; they just add an interesting element to it. There are different types of fire pits available to choose from.

Fire Bowls: Fire bowls are, perhaps, the most popular form of fire pits. They’re generally made from precast concrete and can be easily installed within a matter of hours. They’re a great addition to modern and contemporary designs as they generally look sleek, clean and minimalistic. You can also opt for a variety of sizes; they can be small enough to be placed on tabletops or large enough to dominate your yard. You also have the option of ordering custom fire pit bowls, depending on your requirements.

Fire Table: This fire pit design combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. In this design, the fire pit is placed within a table, usually in the center. You can use this table for dining or as a coffee table. You can also pick any shape or design you want. This way, you’re saving money by not having to purchase a separate outdoor table, as well as adding something unique to your landscape.

Fire Hearths: These can replicate the look of fireplaces with less investment. This design usually stands against a wall. They can be a centerpiece or a focal point of your backyard. You get the grandeur and drama of a fireplace with lower cost and effort.

TYPES OF FIRE PITS

There are three different types of fire pits you can install, depending on your preferences and budget. You can install a natural gas fire pit, which is the most popular choice, easy to light and safe. While it provides less warmth, the natural gas option doesn’t cause smoke. You can also use propane fire pits, which are also easy to install, light quickly and don’t produce smoke. A wood-burning fireplace, however, provides optimal warmth, while being more expensive, and liable to produce sparks, smoke and embers.
